The Gatwick Diamond Charity Challenge 2015
Back in 2013
In 2013 The Preview Visual Communications Group set off to Monaco in a heavily liveried Audi A5 as part of a sponsored cross-Europe race to raise £1000 for Gatwick Diamond Business’ selected charities.
Two years have passed and the time has come once again to flex our racing muscles and get back behind the wheel – of a Go-Kart!
12 hour marathon
12 hour On the 1st October PVL/Art D’Signs and Preview will be sending a team of six to compete in a 12 hour Manor Royal to Le Mans equivalent (540 km) endurance race at TeamSport Go-Kart track on Manor Royal, Crawley.
The Preview Group has again committed to raise £1000 and we need your help. Please sponsor our team as it tries to win the overall award, the fastest lap, the quickest time to Le Mans and the furthest distance in 12 hours – and hopefully not the slowest lap award!
We need to raise £1000
Please visit our Just Giving Page here https://www.justgiving.com/PVL/ to help raise at least £12,000 for the following charities:
Although the page states the donation is going to Sussex Community Foundation, that organisation will then distribute the donations amongst our qualifying member charities: Chestnut Tree House, CCVS, Golden Lion Childrens Trust, CHAMS Home Start, Sussex & Surrey Air Ambulance, NSPCC, The Olive Tree, Rockinghorse, St Catherine’s Hospice, Sussex Community Foundation, Sussex Wildlife Trust, Young Enterprise, Young Epilepsy & West Sussex Mediation Services.
Why Manor Royal?
After the last trek, it was decided that the race should be the equivalent of Manor Royal to le Mans and just as gruelling but based on one track. Anyone who has been Go-Kart racing will know that this is no soft option. It follows two previous trans-continental journeys to Monaco and Milan that intrepid volunteers have already undertaken.
Six team members led by MD Nick Broom from the Preview Group will be selected to represent the Company at TeamSport on Thursday 1st October based on driving talent, performance and endurance. The race to fundraise starts now so please give generously.
